In 2016 I quit my full-time job to work with charities across Ghana, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka, capturing their incredible stories on a voluntary basis. Below are a small collection of those stories.

KICKSTART GHANA

Ho, Ghana

KickStart Ghana provide educational and sport opportunities for students across Ho, eastern Ghana, by partnering with local schools and the towns football team. As a tiny charity with a small base of donors, it was critical for them to showcase the great work that they do.

Working with the British and Ghanaian teams in Ho, I sourced and developed the stories to be told, filming solo to capture the content needed to create a catalogue of videos that have since helped KSG to increase their donor base.

An enterprising social start-up focusing on entrepreneurship in developing countries. Balloon Ventures run programmes where they match British students with local entrepreneurs across Ghana, Kenya, and East Asia. Giving local business people the knowledge, advise and loans they need, and students with a one-of-a-kind work experience.

Through video, I told the stories of the local entrepreneurs and adventurous students to support Balloon Venture’s marketing push, and to build on their branded storytelling content.
