“When I’m homesick, I make dumplings”
A dumpling story
How do you challenge negative perceptions of a city that is seen as dull, yet has a great food community?
The first film with MADEBYBRUM, ‘A Dumpling Story’ takes a soft-sell approach to challenging audience perceptions, by inviting us into a cozy and heart-warming story that promotes the regions sense of community and incredible food scene.
To maximise impact, we created a host of social-friendly content to create consistent engagement, increasing click-through by focusing on the faces and stories behind the food & drink of Kings Heath, Birmingham.
Our story-led approach has been a hit online, where we’ve created a large local following; while the commercial / doc / film, has enabled further engagement via film festivals and screenings, increasing the impact that our story has had on how people see the city of Birmingham.
