“You don’t get a rerun, you don’t get to do it again. It’s gone.”

A PERFECT BALANCE OF ABSOLUTE CHAOS
A journey into the mind of a Paralympian as he tackles the pressures and sacrifices of elite sport.
The short documentary shines a light on the dark side of sporting success, questioning the ‘win-at-all-costs’ mentality, toxic-masculinity, and finding out what happens when 5 years of hard-work are over in just 40 seconds.

The Production:
We wanted to showcase that inclusive teams can make cinematic and world-class content, and that disability-led stories have wide commercial appeal. And with Rob’s unique voice at hand, we had the perfect opportunity to create a short documentary in-house, with our inclusive team of non-disabled and disabled filmmakers.
Although made within a budget similar to what most commercials spend on catering, we were determined to create a film that was of the highest quality; both in how it looks and sounds, and how well the story is told.
This is just the first step in our mission to create world-class films that put both Birmingham-focused and disability-led stories on the map.
